H. Hendy Associates Redesigns Expansion of Network Capital’s Corporate Headquarters

Newport Beach Firm Designs Workspace to Reflect Culture of Transparency and Collaboration

Newport Beach, CA – (December 12, 2012) — H. Hendy Associates will complete phase two of Network Capital’s extensive office redesign by the end of 2012. The dramatic remodel is a new approach to employee workspace that reflects the company’s transparent leadership and culture of trust and open communication among employees. H. Hendy Associates is designing the mortgage firm’s expansion from 20,000 to 40,000 square feet, including an interconnecting staircase between floors to encourage open communication and collaboration.

“Network Capital has thrown out the traditional approach to management in the mortgage industry by eliminating the barriers of a hierarchical structure,” said Heidi Hendy, principal and founder of H. Hendy Associates. “We support its vision by removing the physical obstacles between employees and leadership that you may find in more traditional companies.”

Specifically, H. Hendy Associates implemented a full-floor planning solution that reduces visual obstructions and employee segregation by using low-height workstations topped with glass panels. Private offices have been eliminated along the perimeter, enabling more natural light to enter the open space. For areas that require separation, the firm used bold expanses of interior glass walls that diminish sound while maintaining transparency.

To create an engaging space that celebrates employee efforts, retains top talent and attracts new employees, H. Hendy Associates revamped the office to include a large break room and open employee lounge. To further strengthen interaction among employees, common areas have been equipped with interactive, multiscreen video walls that deliver business-related content, video conferencing, movie entertainment and high-octane music videos. H. Hendy Associates also incorporated a pool table and dart board in one of the breakout areas for employees and leadership to connect and maintain a “work hard, play hard” mentality.

Network Capital prides itself on being a genuine organization and wanted all organic and natural building materials to reflect its authentic approach to business. Throughout the entire design process, H. Hendy Associates used natural materials like stone and wood in textural finishes and implemented floor-to-ceiling glass with exposed door runners and “confident” architectural lines.

Network Capital was recently designated a “Best Place to Work” by Orange County Business Journal. CEO Tri Nguyen believes that Network Capital’s new corporate headquarters speaks volumes about the firm’s commitment to its employees. “H Hendy was able to translate Network Capital’s culture of transparency, open communication and collaboration into office space that brings those values to life in everyday, tangible ways,” said Tri Nguyen, CEO of Network Capital.
