We’re proud to share that Cloud House, designed by Hendy’s Lifestyle team, has received a Silver Award in the Best in American Living™ Awards (BALA) for Best Multifamily Community Amenity/Common Space.
Presented by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the Best in American Living™ Awards celebrate the most creative and innovative residential design projects nationwide. Selected from more than 600 entries, Cloud House stood out for its distinctive approach to amenity design and resident experience. Hendy partnered with architect AO, and the project was developed in collaboration with Bonanni Development.
Located in Stanton, California, Cloud House introduces a boutique-style, resort-inspired living experience that redefines multifamily amenities in Orange County. The 321-unit community draws design inspiration from clouds, sky, and mid-century curvilinear forms, creating a cohesive interior narrative that flows from ground level to rooftop. Hendy served as interior designer, translating an initial brand concept into functional, highly expressive spaces that balance sophistication with a sense of play.
The project’s signature feature is a 17,500-square-foot rooftop aerial playground, uniting pool, fitness, social, and entertainment spaces into a seamless gathering destination above the city. At ground level, double-height volumes are grounded by a greenhouse-inspired coworking hub and a warm, sculptural lobby that reinforces the project’s cloudlike identity. Together, these amenities foster community, elevate daily living, and create a memorable sense of place.
