Mirth Corporation, a leader in health information technology, wanted a vibrant office to mirror its work-hard, play-hard attitude. The company asked H. Hendy Associates to design a flexible and hip industrial space with open ceilings and exposed ductwork. Keeping costs to a minimum, the design team modified the ceilings in select areas and used existing resources where possible. The colors of Mirth’s orange-and-blue logo appear throughout the space, injecting low-cost, exuberant energy. With all desks on casters, the staff can reconfigure the workspace in an instant for specific tasks or team collaboration. The open, think-tank environment has multiple white boards, TVs, and easy collaborative access along with a few quiet areas for more privacy. For this active workforce, the space includes a Ping-Pong table, dartboard, and a wall with racks for hanging motorcycle helmets.
