Flexible Layout Supports Evolving Needs
Designed for collaboration and future growth, the office headquarters of El Pollo Loco also accommodates a vital member of our evolving workforce: drop-in telecommuters. Considering an estimated 38 percent of employees will be working outside traditional office space in five years, this leading restaurant chain looked to H. Hendy Associates to develop a progressive, flexible layout for its 25,000-square-foot headquarters. The design features 102 workstations for in-house staff and 14 drop-in workstations for mobile employees. Within the vibrant, loft-like space are areas designed to foster collaboration, including an open break room, soda fountain, banquette area, and activity hubs. Visiting employees can reserve workspace in the “Dine In” area, while “Drive Thru”–themed spaces encourage spontaneous exchange of ideas.
